The past few months have been extremely stressful and trying, and I want you all to know how very much I appreciate all the support you have shown me, and for the store itself. It made closing just that much more difficult though……but in a good way……does that make sense?
Our “Toast to You” party made me realize just how much a part of my life you have become, and I am just not sure how to move forward without being able to communicate with you, hear about your kids, grand kids, and see pictures of them in all their
Connie’s Kids glory!
Sooooo, I have decided to keep the store online, and will be adding new styles for spring soon. BUT, it WILL be different. Many of the items I am going to list on the web site or post on the facebook page, will be “Pre-Orders”. That means I will only place the order AFTER you have actually ordered the item. This will avoid the dilemna I was facing on where to keep the inventory once the store was gone. That means it may take a few weeks for you to receive your items. That is the drawback, BUT the advantage is by reducing my overhead expenses, I will be able to sell the items at a lower price than they were in the store & online previously! (that makes it worth the wait, doesn’t it?) I may also try to buy some “Overstocks” from your favorite lines, selling them at below retail prices. I am also considering doing “trunk shows” at various locations. Our inventory WILL be more selective, and we won’t have the vast array of styles we had before, but I believe that I will choose the styles you will love, and want to purchase. (Plus, I want you all to give me plenty of feedback as we go along, so I can keep improving the system!) I will need to know what you are looking for, and I will do my best to find it for you.
It’s going to take some time to get this all organized, and up and functioning, so I ask that you be patient with the process. I hope it will be worth your wait! I am eager to hear your thoughts on this decision, AND I am ready to hear what you want me to start hunting for! I am so happy with my decision, and I have YOU all to thank for helping me make it! I am honored that so many of you took the time to write, call, or stop by to show your support….if it wasn’t for that I would have closed the doors forever.
